Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (PPSEZ) is one of the pioneering Special Economic Zone in Cambodia. Our master plan was approved by the Royal Government of Cambodia as Sub-decree on the Establishment of PPSEZ in 19 April, 2006.
After the difficult time of Pol Pot regime, I was determined to dedicate my capability and hard-work to help reconstruct the country. And PPSEZ is one of important projects which I initiated in order to pursue my cause.
For the success of this project, new investors, especially manufacturers from foreign countries are indispensable. Therefore, I asked a Japanese consultant, Japan Development Institute, to do a feasibility study and establish a master plan. Based on the master plan, PPSEZ developed infrastructures with independent power plant, water supply and treatment plant, telecommunication system, and so on to international standards. We also closely coordinate with relevant government authorities to create more investor-friendly environment to accommodate even multi-national companies.
Cambodia is rapidly changing day by day. We definitely need more investment to our country so that our young generation will have better opportunity in life in the future.
